This page is meant as a guide to send a test email through fetch to ensure the email makes it to the customer.Â
A Textbox and Button have been added to the export email page of Fetch. The user can choose people from the "round robin" list and put in an email address to send the test email(s) to. An email will be sent from each of the users in the distribution list to the email specified in the test email textbox. The chosen template will be populated with information from one of the customers displayed in the fetch in view. This will allow the advisor's email signature and template population to be tested as well as the login credentials.
This change doesn't create a campaign but sends transactional emails through JangoMail. These emails are viewable in JangoMail in the transactional email report. This doesn't allow testing of campaign creation/processing, unsubscribes, contact history etc since these are directly related to creating a campaign. If these features need to be tested then a "test" user will need to be created and a vehicle added to the customer, a fetch created that returns just that "test" user, and the campaign sent in the same manner as other campaigns.
