Vehicles that have an appointment booked for tomorrow or thereafter are considered a Potential Confirm Appointment Call. There are customizable specs in the “Contact Type Specifications Screen,” which allow you to customize when you wish for a confirm appointment call to show up. By default, the system will display a Confirm Appointment Call if an appointment was booked more than one day ago, and from one day prior to the actual appointment date, as well as up to 3 days before the appointment date. If the appointment is deleted from the DMS, it will not show up as a Confirm Appointment. Confirm Appointment call types feature can be turned off, therefore if a user has turned off the confirm appointment call type option for the customer, then it will not show up for a Confirm Appointment Call. As a result, caution needs to be exercised here.
There are two levels of appointment confirmations which you can customize. The Level system was developed to accommodate dealers that pre-book appointments. For example, an appointment that was pre-booked for 3 months from today, you will want the system to confirm the appointment up 15 to 30 days ahead of the appointment to serve as a reminder to the customer. The second level was already mentioned above in the previous paragraph.
