The Last Maintenance Indicator is VIN specific
This indicator is flagging any vehicle that has been in for a non-maintenance service visit recently (not less than 29 days), but less than the starting parameters of the Maintenance Trigger Specifcations. I.e. 4-18 months.Â
If the the Last RoDate in months is prior to the starting parameters of the Trigger Specifications, I.e. 1, 2 or 3 months for example, and there was no Maintenance on the last RO, the system will then look back for the Last RO that had Maintenance done and calculate the elapsed months from that Date and prompt a contact for Maintenance.
This indicator is helping you be prepared when speaking with a customer. You will be armed with more knowledge and can choose to approach your conversation differently, by saying "I see you were in last month for a tire repair, but our system is showing it's been 5 months since your last maintenance service".
Exclude from look back calculation
Currently DealerMine takes into account all Maintenance Groups when deciding if a service visit is considered a regular scheduled interval, and will use that visit as the basis for estimating the next visit. The "Exclude from look back calculation" check box in the Maintenance Group setup screen will give the user control over which maintenance groups are not to be considered as a regular scheduled maintenance visit, to ignore that visit and look back further in Service History until finding a visit that is considered to be a regular scheduled visit. This will help with customers being recommended too early on the Call Select screen, and give dealerships more control over which maintenance items regulate the maintenance intervals.Â
