The Maintenance Call Type feature was the reason fostering DealerMine’s creation. DealerMine does an excellent job forecasting, based both on time and mileage, for when a vehicle is due for maintenance. To calculate when Maintenance is due, the system looks at several variables. First, DealerMine needs to know how far you wish to query into the database. For instance, you may want to contact customers that have not been in for service from 3 to 18 months ago. Or you may need to become compliant with privacy regulations. This is accomplished by setting up your “Trigger Specifications.” These were setup at the time of installation and reviewed on an ongoing basis by your account manager. This is to ensure that they are properly setup as your store matures and grows.
Next, DealerMine needs to have maintenance schedules setup. Once a vehicle satisfies the Trigger Specifications, the vehicle is then verified with your maintenance schedule, by year, make, and model. Once a schedule is found, DealerMine calculates based on the owner’s driving habits, what the mileage of the vehicle is currently at, and recommends products and services for that mileage. Next, the system looks at your service history to see if the product or service has previously been done on this vehicle. If so, it will remove the service. The vehicle must be turned on for maintenance in order to qualify. Once all of these variables are met, the vehicle will be available on the Call Select Screen.
